FREE - February 9th 6-9pm - The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, in cooperation with the Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School, will hold a free Shooting Sports 101 clinic for those interested in sporting clay competition or hunters who want to improve their shooting skills. While there will not be any practice or live firing, topics covered will include safety, equipment, ammo and firearms and the various types of shooting sports, including trap, skeet and sporting clays. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and pre-registration for the clinic is required.
